The Newly Renamed B&CV Railway

The line in it's original form had a banking loco for the pond branch as it was then.
I've got a few R1 points to use up so I thought it was time to reinstate it.
Ironically the new layout eases the climb quite a lot!
 
With the arrival of spring later running has resumed.
The empty stock from the last train of the day is seen here returning to Milburn in preparation for the morning service.

Well I managed to try out the new layout around Uber Junction today.
Some fettling will be required but the aim was to see what block work was needed.
Upper Quay Junction before

Additionally the reverse loop at Uber Junction has now gone

And the curve from Uber Lower to the Easton Bank has been eased to R2

There's something about a curved junction and these Piko points are very pleasing on the eye. I just wish someone would make some smaller ones too!
 
Oh mate excellent changes. Everything seems to flow much better.

Banker siding eh? I can think of a place where I'd like to stick a few bankers but it ain't no siding :rolf::rolf:

That area always jarred with me Gareth, it worked well enough but didn't match the picture in my head.
Always wanted a double slip Mel so I thought I'd make the most of the current domestic harmony and bought one in in the Back 2Bay 6 sale :bigsmile:
There are some fairly hefty works still to come so I temporarily supported the curved point with a block and tested the junction and eased curves.

Been doing a little track work myself have relaid the S bend near the garage with a new length of 6ft flex track .
