Sunday Evening Pictures

Now that's what I would call a Transbattery car :)

Good Idea not thought about that , I have been connecting the track up tonight, and then had an hour just watching the trains roll by, the mallet finds all the wrinkles out ,

Mallet looks good Pete could you make the battery look like a transformer load by adding electric conductors

Chuckling the battery was what ran the whole layout when I started, not been charged for months, and still ran the mallet for hours on sunday and still going tonight, I had to use the well waggon to get through the tunnel, haha

thanks to the usual cornish weather today was not as planned however a still a very enjoyable day,
I had prepped the railway for DCC use but as it was wet not a good idea,

Great pic's Pete have had my steamer running today and have just got a nice Aristo RDC3 in Long Island some thing quick and easy to put on the track looks good in the dark with all the lights

DCC ...Pete ......what is this dark side thing?????

Like the pictures as the elements turn against you....perserverance eh?

Pete, What Dcc System do you use?

I dont use any DCC now, Graham Mills was going to try his Dynamis system out , I used to use Dynamis when I first started but gone radio now, but the track is wired dcc ready, but because of the rain, we just ran a few radio control and a few uncontrolled unmodified loco's 'free running'

Steve, these are the same batteries that I use, you will need a smalll charger as well these are about £5, you need to check the wheels are not connected to the motor leads as it will cause a short if there is any track power applied

thks mate so i will get the battery and charge up as well but can u explain to me wot is it mean as u say...

I saw the ammetere rise during a rain squall and tracked it down to to a track short, there was smoke or steam coming from it,I also got some track levelled on the branch,

also had a big smash up on the crossing

Our 'Summer' certainly seems to be one of a potent mix of both ends of the weather spectrum.

Glad to see that you managed to run a few trains though ;)

I keep a few unmodified locos for days like this, they seem to be used more often than not lately,
