Starting the RC conversion conversation...

Question: is it smart to disconnect the wheels and pickups when converting to battery power? I can imagine the current flowing through the tracks into another loco..?
I do have 2 conversion where I added a DPDT switch to switch between battery and track, just in case I needed track power, though never used it.

Didn't Cambrai used to be in a museum at Towyn? Or is my brain scrambled?
It is still owned by them, so it's likely it was displayed there at some time. Though how and why a metre gauged loco found it's way to Towyn is a mystery. I hardly think they were planning to regauge it ....:D

Was in the NG Museum at Towyn for quite a few years till the place got rebuilt, cant quote years. She went there in 1960’s after the metre gauge Waltham Iron Stone Quarries in Leicestershire closed. There were apparently 2 Corpets at these quarries. Further details on Cambrai and the Museum below.
