Graham, that is simply excellent. I've been wondering whether that could be done for a while, but chickened out on my recent Stainz acquisitions, buying a new straight funnel instead. Definitely time I gave your way a go. Thanks for sharing! :thumbup:

thanks for your kind comments , glad its of some help . some of my mistakes turn out all right especially when i damaged the smoke arrester first time around and could not afford to replace it at the time , i love a problem

How do you get it so smooth? Fine emery?

you are right started with medium emery then fine emery while the chuck was still going around hope this helps

Yes, thanks. I must try the same with my Stainz. It looks far better.

I never was in love with the standard Stainz stack. Now I know how to take care of that problem. Thanks.
