If you are looking for a bargain due to a recent change in the ebay system it is actually better to place a low bid rather than put it in your watch list. Ebay now share items from your watch list with other people who are watching similar items, so if you have found an item listed in the wrong section or badly described where before you may of been the only person to notice it you will share it with everyone else who regularly buys the same similar items to you.
