There are several 1/24 scale Model T kits on the market ranging from £25 upwards and which could be modified . All seem to be earlier models but perhaps that doesn’t matter too much.

Cargo box on the back & chain drive. There are 1:18 die casts on the market of different types, including a fire engine. There would be room to add rc & sound. Good prototype at Statfold Barn Railway to model.

With it being a relatively small beast and likely pretty light in model terms, a big lumpy motor not really needed. Tricky part will be fitting decoder and sound system, but a box on the platform should solve that issue.

There are also the old Hubley metal kits which are mostly 1:20th scale and pop up occasionally. I have a Ford Model A somewhere.

Having done a few railcars, let me offer some food for thought.

Inave assembled a couple of ICF kits and have ordered a Revell one but none will be motorised I am afraid

I used a Tamiya motor/gearbox in my 1:24 VW drasine.

They are light, small, low voltage and a have a choice of gear ratios - ideal for a speeder, albeit a slow one

My modest effort is based on the Sylvanian Families wedding car. The luggage hides the motor and the Deltang receiver, and two 14500 lithium cells are slung underneath. The figures are under-scale (cheap Chinese plastic figures). One day, I'll replace them with larger better scaled figures.
