The flanger at RhB is called X9132 and is based on a Norwegian version. And, yes, it is impressive to see this one and the steam rotary snow blower following very close. I've seen videos on Youtube where I can hear they blow a whistle to signal the steam blower to stop. It can't be easy to see anything when the snow is all over the place.dunnyrail said:Not wishing to hijack your thread of a superb project, but the vid is extremely interesting in its showing of Snow Cearance. I now know what a Flanger is for. That would have been the device that was pulling the Snow BACK onto the track for the following Rotary to blast it off.
Also very interesting to see the Bernina Rodless Crock #82 in action assisting the Rotary with some Grunt at the rear end.

Does the rotary have it own motive power? I thought that only the blower was powered and they relied on external power to move.dunnyrail said:Also very interesting to see the Bernina Rodless Crock #82 in action assisting the Rotary with some Grunt at the rear end.
