The ticks on the iPad are to show the photos that have been selected from the ipad storage.
The ipad uses the 'mobile' version of the GSC site and operates slightly differently when uploading photos than a desktop/laptop.
With desktops/laptops you can either pull in multiple photos from a selected folder on the hard drive, OR drag and drop them into the posting from anywhere (very nice and easy).
Yep... One way to get the backs up of PC users is to say that Apple is better.....or vice versa.
I ran an ICT consultancy for many years and supported schools, design houses, businesses and Home users with their IT kit and operation.
The majority (especially the schools and businesses), were PC users.
On balance the Apples and the Apple OS were much more reliable and did not crash unless the user did something that they shouldn't ... not so true with the PCs..especially with upgrading the OS or adding drivers or problems with the dreaded malware/viruses even when using virus checkers (most people do not keep them regularly updated (should do it every day at least in the Windows world)).
For the Apple users the iMac was the most widely used as it was the only all -in-one that was fast and capable. This and the Powerbook are the ones that PC users will change to if they feel the urge.
I have used both systems (Windows and Mac OS) extensively, and exhaustively, o a vast variety of kit, and would always prefer the Apple kit... it even runs all of the PC software through emulation if I ever I need it (Massoth and ESU programming for example)...simples
Like for like for all of the included features, speed and quality of build, the Apple is not so much more expensive than a similar featured PC and it very rarely crashes....oh and a lot fewer viruses (so far).
In all the years of my using Macs (I started in 1988) I have had only 2 bad crashes on my own machines. One was my fault for not completing an OS upgrade before shutting the computer down at the mains. The other was because of one of the few Apple viruses that exist, being passed to me on a disk and I was being complacent about using a virus checker.
BUT if a user like their PC and Windows and it works ... an AppleMac is not for them... and why should it be? If it works for you then it is the system you choose.....but if you are new to buying then.......
