Real high speed

Yes, I often wonder why people run their trains fast, well above scale speeds. In the case of the ICE, you can understand fast running, but not in other cases.

My trains amble round at the speed you would expect on a rural branch line, where there's no need to get anywhere fast.

I reckon a pair of Mamod engines double headed on a train would give it a good run :)

It certainly held the track well!

The speed is fine I believe for an ICE, but I think that the Track would have needed a little bit of Tamping on the real thing to achieve such speeds.

The poor passengers would need to be bolted to the floor to stay in place.................lying down, that is.

That`s the prototype:

I think the train only makes it on these messy tracks cause it`s modified ,other bogies ( 00:09) and a lot
of extra weight.

I reckon I could make six bridges out of that lot!

I wonder what the thinking behind the prototype was, and when it was constructed?

Looks like they dug the hole just as an excuse to build that viaduct. It certainly is a brilliant build, it must have taken a few hours to make!
