Waking this one up again............

I have happily used a TX-24 professionally installed in the tender of a Connie by Dave Goodson ("TOC" at NWRCS) for a couple of years. All our other locos have 2.4Ghz controllers.

I am now contemplating whether to go for 100% 2.4 Ghz, which would make the RCS TX-24 Tx and Rx redundant. Two questions please:

1) Can I keep the RCS ESC itself and use it with a 2.4 Ghz Rx?

2) As there is a very limited market for these items I am wondering whether any of these parts (or indeed the whole installation in a Connie tender with Sierra sound) would be of interest to an existing RCS user. (Moderators, this is not an offer for sale merely a fishing expedition!)

Best

Mike.
Depending on which version of the ESC it is, the hardware can be adapted to use pretty well any of the 2.4 GHz radios. If I could see a pic of the loco motor controller I can advise if it will be doable.

Many Thanks Tony

I was hoping not to have to open it up at this stage. Going by the original documents its an RCS # ELITE-3 but the wiring diagrams aren't sure if its v3 (Sierra diagram) or v4 (Phoenix P5). Does that help?

It probably can be converted but I would not know until I saw a pic of it.
