Back in 1987-8 when I visited NZ I came home with a rather nice pamphlet about Price Engineering. There were pictures of many of the Locomotives that the Company built. Of great interest to me at the time were the Articulated Designs on their Books. Some weird and wonderful beasts here. The one that I decided to have a go at was the Class D. I used Stompers for the Chassis replacing the Road Wheels with Curly 10mm Wheels. The Chassis is all Plasticard with the Boiler being a piece of Conveniently Sized Gutter Downpipe. Chimney a piece of Central Heating Pipe with filler to blend it in. The rest is more Plasticard, Wood for the Cab and a Couple of Switches to control it. The 2 AA`s are hidden in the bunker. Trundles rather than runs. But it needs more work, never touched it in a Decade now. Just not my thing anymore.
