Good afternoon all.
I have a small LGB Kof diesel that does not ride properly backwards through two set of LGB R1 points set to straight. The points are relatively new, the track is level and a Stainz has no problems. The pick-up shoes are catching in the insulated 'v' . Going through the toe-end of the points causes no problem.
Is it possible to adjust the shoes. They have also been lightly lubricated to help them ride up more easily.
Help!

Just a slight tweak on the shoes in the area they are catching, I have had to do this with couple on my second hand items.

Thanks Jimmy.
Maybe making the curve a bit steeper.

With cricket and the GP on this afternoon, you're better off running a different loco ;);)

Indeed. I'm watching both myself so I can wait.

We had one train that was doing that. It turned out that the shoes were worn enough to cause a rough spot that would catch in one direction. Replaced the shoes and the problem went away.

Thanks Sophie. I'm not sure that's the problem though. The shoe won't clear the plastic by about 1/16". I'm pretty sure it isn't a worn point. I will be putting another point in to check again.

Have you checked that the skates are free to move up & down. Occasionally they get stiff & cause problems

Thanks Mike. Yes, I lubricated them and they were sliding freely.

As Jimmy says, a slight bend upwards so the the slider is a little up but still in contact. Best done by removing the slider from the Chassis. This mod will also help to stop Shorts over some LGB Points. Poor sketch showing what to do to the Slider, mid to the Right.
