I have just been to the 16 mm website and Peterborough 4 April is cancelled, with a view to re-schedule later in the year.
 
UK Model Shops listing pages are getting pretty depressing, as well. :(

Not totally unexpected, but better to be safe than sorry. Let’s hope we are all still around to attend the rescheduled show.
 
I suppose there's something to be said for being on the edge of nowhere. Better hold my own show - attendance of one - hopefully I won't infect myself !!!
 
Just had a message that the Nailsea & District Model Railway Show on 28 & 29 March 2020 has been cancelled. No choice as the school has cancelled all outside bookings.
 
It is temporary...well maybe a long time temporary.... keep safe every one..a lot of us are at a certain age.... take care.
 
DON"T write us old farts off too soon. We have staying power, and still remember old "Common Sense", in spite of the World around us. We'll be alright, just wait and see...a dram or three of good Whisky will get us through, rather than that Mexican bheer some fools are taken by.....!!!

I think we'll have to accept that any gathering, railway oriented or otherwise, is going to be postponed or cancelled. As are any foreign holidays. So I guess we'll just have to stay at home and play trains. Every cloud has a silver lining.
 
In order to maintain the Mt Gleep Roundy-Round Railroad I'll be installing the replacement piece of track this afternoon so that I can run trains in each direction for the first time since the last time. I still have fourteen large cans of gas and about 3/4 gallon of ethanol to run the non-gas live-steamers, so we ought to be just fine for a while.
 
Though you might just need the Ethanol, as hand-scrub, by the time we have done.. :(

I think he means Meths, 2 countries separated by the same language. Not sure that Meths would be a good hand scrub though it may kill off lots of germs. Apparently also not good for drinking judging by the amount of imbibers who actualy pass on after consumption of the stuff. Must be like drinking Marmite, yuk.

Nobody try drinking Meths. (or any other form) of denatured alcohol!
 
Probably a bit strong, as, if there is someone who may do it, then they are very much in need of help and treatment rather than being called a moron.
