Due to the ongoing Human Malware Infection and current incarceration then the only sensible thing was build the new line.
All other building projects having been completed since moving to the new premises a couple of years ago. I was given the go ahead by the Clerk of Works.
After much deliberation over the winter months I decided that the line would be built as per the Shackletons High Seat principle as I am getting on a bit.
Therefore an elevated railway seemed the best prospect.
After looking at various methods/options and the state of wallet I decided that treated timber trackbed was the way to go.
The track will be a fairly simple dogbone with station and passing loops in the middle allowing for operation of up to 3 train consists initially.
Its a fairly long run from one end t'other and I am using LGB R3 as a minimum so allowing for smooth operation.
Operation will be analogue DC, DCC and live steam.
I am hoping to get something running in the next few weeks weather permitting.
