My Shark Build

I hope to start mine after the new year now that my work has settled down and I will be working within a standard work week (I had been working a lot of OT and weekends due to the holidays). I am going to use Tyco's Midnight Special paint scheme for mine. I came here to pick up a few tips on how you did your windows and what you did for the base. All very helpful pointers. Going to look at the other build threads and see what others have done. I acquired an Aristo RS-3 that I am canabalizing for parts as I go.
 
Good to hear that you are starting on yours. I need some RS-3 parts, the front railing setup and a few of the rail supports, if you are willing to sell some parts.
 
Hi Jerry,

There should be quite a bit of it left once I'm done. I'll let you know what parts I don't end up using. I'd hate to see any pieces go to waste.

Quite surprised only 25 units sold, thought it was more than that! Given that I bought two units, that makes only 23 sold to others... Hmmnn Kind of puts the mockers on ordering another pair, perhaps Maybach and Dr Spock could view their ideas on making a further batch of locos?
 
I got four of these as that was what I originally wanted, but as I moved house last year I have not got any further than a basic shell and chassis running,​
If anyone is still interested and there is enough demand for a B unit as well then I would consider a second run, all of the original 25 are now sold,​

Well, I have two also and they are in the painting process as we speak along with a 250ton crane I built. So there are 21 out there. They will also be in pennsy brunswick green like Robs. I just got a Aristo Nc5 brass caboose off ebay for them and the new Aristo revolution receiver with sound for them. Mr Spock put me down for a B unit. Rob any more pictures of yours? Thanks Jack
 
13 locos of the 25 have been declared so far on the various Shark threads. An interesting and eclectic mix of locomotive liveries chosen as well!
