Loco to Tender connection cable for the LGB 20230 - The American 2-4-0 with tender

This is the loco from lots of the American starter sets - the little 2-4-0. There is a cable that connects loco and tender, presumably to power the light with grey plastic connectors at each end.

I'm after that cable.

Modell-land in Germany aren't listing it as a spare.
Even if no one has one, does anyone know if the same cable is what is used in the F7 set - LGB 68570 F7 connector set ?

Is it the four wire version you need Chris?

Check out http://www.champex-linden.de and look for CL60161, or CL60160 for the two wire version.

I just checked on my F7 and that has both the four and two wire connectors, so probably that is what you want. Looking at the exploded diagrams on the same Champex-Linden site it seems that these would be OK. Having said that I don't have a 2-4-0 to positively check for you.

From what I can remember the connector has 5 wires.
I don't have one but I once repaired one for somebody & had difficulty finding a 5 way connector.

Well spotted that man. Have five stars. It is indeed a five wire cable: that will teach me just to look at the ends. I'll try Chalk garden rail though. The cables that it plugs into are both listed on the Modell-land website and I believe the locos are still made and sold in starter sets.

Also check with Peter at Chalk Garden Rail. He is a agent for Champex-Linden and also can get current production LGB stuff

Indeed - ordered Monday and arrived today and for a reasonable price too.
Ordered some metal wheels as part of the general upgrade pattern to ensure postage and overall value was worth it for Chalk Garden Rail to transact. Ok, so potentially simple transaction but spare part not listed elsewhere, so well impressed here.
