I changed both motors, not blocks. One of the original motors dead the other needed help to start.
After replacing both motors I tried the loco on the main, it would not stop (both directions) the only way it would stop was to turn the power off. When power turned on again no reaction, problem occurred only after running loco and selecting zero speed.
now for some reason it runs normally. The only thing I did was to try to read CV’s on the programming track which failed.
As far as I can tell it I now have a fully functioning Krokodil.
