I've been thinking about obtaining one of the above for some time now for a project. Just wondered if anybody has one they'd like to sell, not to bothered on colour, and it doesn't even have to work, but visually it must be in sound condition :)

And any idea on the sort of price I should be paying for one should I be offered one would be appreciated :)

Theres one on eBay at the moment :thumbup:

The one up at the moment is a VERY old example; it'll still probably fetch a good figure, I'd guess in the £150-£200 range? All ages and versions of the 2095 seem very sought-after and hard to come by right now, for some reason.

I thought it was old with the yellow box, but looking at the pic's of the wheels and skates, it doesn't look like its run. I have noticed Grootspoor have 2 just over the £200 mark, but not convinced with the 'LGB' livery on one of them, hence my looking and questioning about German ebay over in the ebay section.

Hmmm, went for £207 to someone who sniped it in the last 5 seconds.... was that you, Andy?

At least my guess on the price was pretty much on the mark!

Jon.

Not me, my last bid went in at 25secs to go at £176. Went for a little to much for me :(
I've just asked this over in the sounds page, but what sort of money would a working s/h sound card out of one of these go for?

Depends - if it's one of the very large old analogue sound cards from an early model, probably not a lot - if it was a more modern digital sound board, possibly more.

i think if you look at what the latest massoth/other makes sound units are going for..£100.... and most can be mapped/re recored over..
a earlyy original sound cards gootta be worth at best £20...
a later one at best £40 ..;
imho

I was that sniper who counted down 12 seconds in his head before confirming his bid (I don't do I.T.). I'm losing patience with my Stainz and R1 points so looking for longer wheelbase's. Out of interest what was the "project" in mind?

Custom dual gauge bogies, fitting out with RCS R/C gear, along with a suitable sound card, LED lighting and a heap of battery power! :)
Currently got a borrowed one on my workbench for measuring. Is looking like my idea could feasibly work...
