LED Current

Bit of help needed. Trying to get a level crossing warning light flasher arrangement working using 5mm Red LEDs. At 3v, what would you expect the current to be per LED? I am measuring 150mA.

For 20ma I just use the CL2N3 (this unit IS polarity sensitive) as it does not care about voltage, just limits current to 20ma. Also 2 of the 10 ma leds in parallel will work with this device. Great for not having to figure out resistors and this device works to 90 volts!!
