I took a NOS lgb convention rail truck, below, that i thought rather awful looking. Very decent flea bay price, nos.
And tried an RGS style characature of goose #6. ‘Swoosh’ was what the RGS called the work goose, a cross between goose and swan…
I added working headlights, directional roof light, and directional red/white tail light. Perhaps soon, sound too. Used nano leds for the headlights, 5mm led for the roof, 3mm for the tail light.. reamed the molded lamp on the rear bumper, end of bulb fits well and is plausibly a ‘lens’.
Thought about all silver bed, per prototype (at one point) but thought it might be less visually pleasing.
I like it. These little things run wonderfully. Way better than the bachmann or very pricey accucraft prototype models.
Fwiw, The rear bumper also acts as a ‘loop’, as its the perfect height to hold a lgb hook.
