Lgb rail truck “galloping swoosh”

I took a NOS lgb convention rail truck, below, that i thought rather awful looking. Very decent flea bay price, nos.
And tried an RGS style characature of goose #6. ‘Swoosh’ was what the RGS called the work goose, a cross between goose and swan…

I added working headlights, directional roof light, and directional red/white tail light. Perhaps soon, sound too. Used nano leds for the headlights, 5mm led for the roof, 3mm for the tail light.. reamed the molded lamp on the rear bumper, end of bulb fits well and is plausibly a ‘lens’.

Thought about all silver bed, per prototype (at one point) but thought it might be less visually pleasing.

I like it. These little things run wonderfully. Way better than the bachmann or very pricey accucraft prototype models.

Fwiw, The rear bumper also acts as a ‘loop’, as its the perfect height to hold a lgb hook.IMG_1645.jpeg

RGS's secret "Little Deuce Flatbed" hot rod. Does the 1/4 mile strip, yard to station, in 10.3. Could hole shot and shut down #455 anytime. Founder of the NRRHRA. Love it, nice work.

Deffo very smart. I have an unmodded one that warrants alterations but it's never got to the top of the list (yet). I'm intrigued by the snow plough on the front. Was that something LGB did or have you added that. If the latter are you up for sharing how, please?

Thanks to all for the kind comments.

The plow is an lgb part.

Conveniently, one gently pulls off the black front bumper, leaving two mounting holes.
Just push in the plow…essy peasy.

After Maxi-model's post, I thought it may be a wheelie bar! Lovely looking conversion, a big improvement on the original.
