I may have mentioned that I was looking around the last LS show I attended [Bressingham], where I was looking for another Accucraft L&B gondola, and actually found one, second-hand. To my amazement, it was not only unboxed and slightly marked, but was only a fiver less than a new one on the same stand.

Enough!

I'll build my own.

So I did.

I agree that it's not zackly the same, but at my age, it's near enough. On the plus side, it has a real wood planked floor, and almost three hundred rivets and bolts. All the add-on bits were made from, uh, bits. The trucks came from GRS, but with Tenmille wheels, so I can't claim to have made them, but still. Please excuse the cr****y movie - my newer camera had run out of V & A.

I also made a short video of my Accucraft 'Edrig/Sam' hauling it on the Roundy-round track, but I figured out that you all know what an Edrig looks like, so I wiped it.

It looks fine Tac. I have a whole series of pics copied for when I get round to building my L&B stuff (when being the operative word!).

I have the whole build sequence recorded in stills, just in case I move myself to get it posted on the 16mm Association website. If you want any pics, please pm me to make mail contact.
