You will have enough hands to assist you ?/
I only joined a short while ago and found them to be a Great bunch of lads n lasses ?..ask away as somebody will always give you an answer..
Good Luck

Hullo Jim and welcome to the forum.

it's surprising how much track you can get into a small space?

I have a large garden but only a small strip has been donated by the local garden authority, so I've squeezed as much track as I can in the small space to make it look busy!

MMTS has also made good use of the small back yard he has, so there are endless possibilities if you use your imagination....

hi amd welcome jim, i only have a small garden/yard, and we managed to getover 120feet of track in it. trevour at grosmont is a good supplyer as well.
hope all goes well for you. allan.

I too had access to scaffold boards when i started, and
thought they would be ideal.
They are laid on a fairly hefty ladder style frame work of
6"x2" and 4"x2" and screwed down every 18" or so.

Even so i have found that as the boards dried out they
shrank by as much as 3/4" over their width, and have warped
quite badly, even pulling the head of the screws through 1/2
the thickness of the boards in places.

I have had to relay and cramp the boards up together and
re-screw them back down twice and they are starting to twist
again :impatient:

If i started again i would seriously consider using a dif timber
maybe exterior quality ply or treated decking planks.

I realise you are working on a budget, but it may not pay
to cut corners on the baseboards
In the pic below you can see where they have warped and split
when i had to clamp and re-screw them down.
