Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

Re: Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

Fresh from the paint shop of Matt Acton and ready for delivery to the K&NWLR. The Tin Turtle is planned to haul the dangerous St Trinians school specials ....

Love the little gray loco. Perfectly proportioned. By the way, I've been told that I am a dinosaur for using a folding rule.

Thanks for the kind words concerning the "Welsh" Decauville. It does seem to "work". Unfortunately its health is not the best and it is currently being looked after by the Actons (Matt et père) ..... Afterwards it off to the paint shops for the standard K&NWLR (Portmeirion Branch) livery.

As for the folding rule, not only am I dinosaur, I almost became a palaeontologist, so I would recognise them when I met them.

Yes, I´ve got a weakness for Turtles. Maybe I´ll get a second one ;)

Re: Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

It´s been an expensive day, as I´ve had to junk the old camera and trade it in for a new one. But here are some pics, as promised, of the K&NWLR (Portmeirion Branch) after some more locos got back from lining out.

Apologies to the traditionalists out there, but I decided to go for a Tin Turtle that had been taken into care and used for running St Trinians school specials. Check out the name plates.

That's quite a line up

Re: Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

The Turtle's excellent. Great idea. Terrific line up of locos.

Re: Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

Time to charge up the Tin Turtle and take her for a ride .... :o

Re: Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

This is a replacement post for one made yesterday afternoon which had simply disappeared. These pics are from yesterday and show the Kent side of the K&NWLR, without too many of the gaps and building sites.
