Nicely put. I had searched before but was obviously looking in the wrong place. But I was delighted that someone in what we loosely call the "real world" had had the same idea.

How about a picture of the two Decauvilles double heading a long train of skips/wagons ?
That would look really good :D

Many thanks! I´m planning a little Train Gala for the weekend .... :D

Re: Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

A trip to Zwingen for a steam day and a quick test of the new tender for my Regner Vincent. Early days yet, as the loco is going to get a new cab too, and the tender is still painted in works grey.

Link to a short video underneath the pic.

Soon going to be taking its place in the evening traffic snarl up, as K&NWLR engine drivers head for the Black Pig pub for a quick drink before dinner .... ;)

Re: Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

Yesterday was traction engine day on the K&NWLR, as someone was asking about the scale of D.R. Mercer engines, but I´ve included the new Maxitrak / Accucraft one as well for comparison.

Really impressive line-up set-off by such fine livery. Love to see (and hear) a video of the Fairlie in action sometime.

So would I :oThe lighting is still not complete, and I need it for video. These pics are essentially taken in the dark with long shutter speeds and a tripod. :-\

Re: Kent & North Wales Light Railway: New Boy

It´s been a programme of over two years, but the original Roundhouse locomotives, collected since around 1995, of the Kent branch of the K&NWLR have now all been serviced and are all in perfect running order again. Time for some works photos of the apple green fleet. Might even get round to nameplates and numbers now ...

So here is Part 1.
