Also known as my dads railway, has been up and running around 16 years. Located just down the road from mine. I hope to keep this thread updated regular like mine, Woodlock Logging. Enjoy. Pity about the weather today.

If anyone wonders what the wooden skewers are for, they are to stop the resident cats using the ballast as a toilet in their old, idle age....

Been along to my dads railway today to give some of my locos a run for their money, more of a mainline experience compared to Woodlock Logging. Casey and his idea for a shelter or loco shed has taken off in our family. Some pictures from today, with my Forney having a run with my new coaches.

Some new motive power on the railway. Coupling changed to narrow gauge centre buffer. The Massoth sound is the best I have ever heard on a diesel.

Oh, I quite likes that diesel... 'specially in a nice shade of green..

With the sun on the monitor, if I squint, it could even be British outline..

Try searching for "V36 Wendezug" and you will get a few pictures. This is also interesting: http://www.noetzel24.de/index.php?id=90

According to German Wikipedia The combination was usually with Donnerbüchsenand a control van. Also, Railbus control cars were used. With the loco at the rear 2 drivers were required: the one in the control car operated the brakes and passed instructions via some type of electric engine telegraph to the driver, who operated the throttle. On a few a pneumatic control system was installed.
