Hello. I have just dug out an old kit of mine that was lurking in the back of the work bench and I am working on it at the moment. Trouble is I remember how much I enjoyed putting it together so I tried to find another kit. Since when did ip stop their free lance diesels? There used to be a Lucy and Jessica was a bigger loco. I am sure there was others too. Shame they don't do them any more
 
Yes it's a great shame these locos are no longer produced. I bought the Jessie kit and loved building it, gets used most weekends.
 
Well I am stripping down and removing the paint of mine to start again? A trip to the York show this weekend so I will be looking for suitable paint there
 
I have one of these kits (forget the model's name, but it is the small diesel with the full cab, there was an identical one with an open cab) and they were really well done. I had started building mine and got into other things.
 
Full cab is Lucy, no cab is Punch, I think - I have a Punch and a Jessica, which is the 0-6-0 with the off-centre cab - love them both, very useful. Ivan dropped them last year unfortunately, a shame I thiknk, I love their rugged construction.
 
There's a good article about building one in Garden Rail about 3-4 years ago....;);););) :bigsmile:
 
I have x2 Jessie (0-4-0) and a Jack (0-6-0) they are good kits and easy to modify, its a shame Ivan has moved away from metal and onto resin.
 
Maybe I should sell my steel one? The heavy-ness helped the model for sure.
