How can I adjust the front axel of front truck....

What I did Greg is repositioned the 2 axle supports. Then pinched the cover of the truck to the truck ....then while still pinching screwed the 4 screws tight. Then tested it in the air. The front axle is in place. Ya too bad about the wheels and I might of not needed so pricy track for battery power. I still might bring the track inside for our harsh winter....see how it goes. peace

We have around 3000 feet of that track on the IPPW RR in Nepean, and it stays out forever. Check out OVGRS.org
 
Just did a test run and works great. The lights work. No derails. Front axel in contact. Yaaa. I still want to use 2 ho scale bridges up side down under a track. And next time I am in London Ont. I want to get beams to make the other bridge wider so side supports can fit. Plus fit in a few pieces of spare track here and there. Now to start adding rolling stock. This is what I wanted.. Freight meandering through my garden.
 
It is not that the track is not durable enough it is just I might find it more enjoyable in my cool basement of 12c rather than outside in minus 8c.
 
Tres cool eh I am keeping the engine inside. Rolling stock outside protected in the train tunnel

Tac, I do believe you are correct! NOT an Aristo motor block! I missed the details you clearly saw the first time.

There are 2 Aristo versions, and NEITHER have little "towers" for the axle bearings, and none have the brass threaded inserts shown.

Someone has been "taken" I think, sorry to say.

I believe a picture of the box-end was posted?

If so, pretty sure it was REA?

I cannot tell, your descriptions actually confuse me. You mentioned "pinching" something together, and also earlier about modifying something.

Without better descriptions and pictures, I am doing my best at trying to understand what is really going on. One minute apparently the gears are not engaged, and the next they seem to be.

I'm trying.

Ok it is working fine now..no derails. And with ho I did not have to worry about the tracks being perfect together. My tracks are much better now. I custom cut the last piece of track to fit. Now picture this. The 2 front axle supports are loose. If you play around with them you can fit them into a groove and the 2 we orms will touch another. So with the 2 axle supports in place quickly put the bottom truck cover on and to make sure they do not go out of their grooves pinch the truck cover to the truck and screw in the 4 screws in quickly. I hope that clarifies things Greg. As well I have no regrets starting off with the 9 volt but it is time to move on and have the engine pulling like it supposed to. Time to upgrade to 22 v.
 
So, perhaps a picture showing BOTH axles would help, and also indicating which axle is the "front".

If this is an Aristo, or a close clone, then one axle is fed with a universal joint and it sort of swivels.

Your picture was not of the whole block so I could tell.

Apparently the gear mesh issue was a re-assembly problem, I will assume that is over now.

Yes, more voltage will help, but it's not just voltage but amperage. Do your batteries also have an "amp hour" rating?

Yes it is over. It was the front axle of the front truck. Thanks for your kind help by the way.

As well... this is part of battery power because I need a car to hold it. It is too much of a hassle fitting it in and out of a box car. so I put a bid on on eBay for a gondola car. Well now I see it is rea brand. 1 to 32 scale. I want 1 to 29 scale so will not bid again.
 
Lucked out someone bid higher. Too bad it looked nice but wrong scale. Here are a few pics and will keep an eye out for something similar but 1 to 29 scale.

Ok in the specs it said 1 to. 32. I got bigger problems now. I was hoping I could get this running with the 22 volt today. First it did not want to run with the fuse. 2. 5a or 10a. Then when I got it to run without the breaker the control blew. It runs all out with it on or off which is very hard on the engine gears. And whips around like a out of control Bullitt train.
 
Sorry, we have tried to advise you on running your loco, but you do not take heed. Applying 22 volts is not a good thing without bench testing.
 
I still have one controller that still works for sure. I will charge the 9 v over night.
