Time for another update, all Manawanui today as it was steaming so well I just enjoying it 
Plus the purpose was trying to get juts the right picture at the log loading area...
...still not got the right one yet....
....so I'll just have to keep trying

Rounding the curve alongside the playhouse. A nice spot to watch trains but a bit dark for pictures most days.
The log loading siding at Punga Cliffs is also in a dark corner, hence why it's hard to get "just the right shot" with the low light levels to work with.
There is no sun into this area in the winter you see, but it's fun keeping trying. Hope you liked this batch

Funny, I was just Skyping with my son on his 21st birthday. He's down in Dunedin. I was having problems working out timezones. So, there you are steaming in mid winter, with everything looking great as usual, and I had to give up running trains today as it was a heat index of 95F and 80% humidity!

Love the new log cars John. The steam donkey looks great with the roof. I have the same picture with my logging camp, tough to get the right shot. The Kittatinny boys acquired a new steamer for the line. An accucraft Shay. They should be able to do some serious log hauling now.

Way over due for an update, the H&MGR hasn't been idle, though more time has been spent in the workshop than running trains I think.
