Always gob smackingly beautiful. Your line is simply a credit to you. I am going to break up and clear my railway from my garden and just look at photos of yours!
Thanks guys, I equally enjoy your railways. Believe me it really is a pretty humble little railway. It's sharing it with your mates, in real time or virtual, that is the best part
Love it John. Steamers look great steaming in the winter light. Its too bad you dont live close. I would love to get some shots of my Cricket on your line.

Like wise Shawn, running Manawanui in your winter snow would be exciting! Cold wet Wellington southerlies just don't bring the same excitement as snow!
Time for another update, all Manawanui today as it was steaming so well I just enjoying it
Plus the purpose was trying to get juts the right picture at the log loading area...
Rounding the curve alongside the playhouse. A nice spot to watch trains but a bit dark for pictures most days.
The log loading siding at Punga Cliffs is also in a dark corner, hence why it's hard to get "just the right shot" with the low light levels to work with.
There is no sun into this area in the winter you see, but it's fun keeping trying. Hope you liked this batch
Funny, I was just Skyping with my son on his 21st birthday. He's down in Dunedin. I was having problems working out timezones. So, there you are steaming in mid winter, with everything looking great as usual, and I had to give up running trains today as it was a heat index of 95F and 80% humidity!
Cheers Martino. HB to your son. Was almost a spring day yesterday, odd weather indeed. Just about 3pm. 3pm - oppd better go I'm suppose to be picking H&M up from school. Bye
Love the new log cars John. The steam donkey looks great with the roof. I have the same picture with my logging camp, tough to get the right shot. The Kittatinny boys acquired a new steamer for the line. An accucraft Shay. They should be able to do some serious log hauling now.
Way over due for an update, the H&MGR hasn't been idle, though more time has been spent in the workshop than running trains I think.
We hosted the Wellington Garden Railway Group running afternoon in September. A wee Youtube slideshow of the afternoon here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucb7...AAAAAAK2w/yB-HMRAp1fI/s640/IMG_0368.JPG[/IMG]
