I was given a pair of ancient LGB Feldbahn wagons and decided to bash them.


Bachmann metal wheels on both, and LGB link and pin couplers on one wagon that had removable hook and loops.


The other wagon had loops built into the frame, so I sawed them off and applied Pasidump link and pins. Debating whether to rely on adhesive alone or use short screws to secure the coupling "cups".

Technically, I don't think those are LGB Feldbahn, which have tiny wheels and square chassis. But I have used those rounded steel frames for a variety of projects. One involved gluing Faller eTrain hopper tops on the LGB chassis.

I used Pasidump link-and-pins, and I used a screw into the frame from the 'cup'. I think this pic is one that didn't get a screw - maybe that's what persuaded me to use them! Note the short chain to the pin - otherwise they just fall on the ground and disappear.

It being another wet day , I found the old LGB Feld (or not) Bahn wagons and reassembled them:


Pasidump link&pin coupler pockets epoxied in place.


LGB link & pin pockets screwed onto hook & loop mounts.


Slightly different sizes but they match up well enough.
