Ok have had a request as to how i made my bridge on the Eighton Bahn thread, from Whizzo, and finding the limitations of sending a PM (Photo wise)
I have decided to start a thread about it..

So now to business.

Firstly the bridge piers.
I had in stock some of those overlaping ridge tiles, so with a bit lateral thinking, these became the bridge piers, as the folloing pictures show.

Now for the bridge deck.
That started life as the roof supports for a conservatory that had collapsed, these were also reinforced with aluminium incerts, so the sections recovered and then re worked.

So now to the curved bit.
This consists of the "I" section, which was saved when i stripped the Upvc apart, it all slid apart once i had removed the screws.
Some stud bar, nuts, a pice of electric trunking to cap the ends of the stud bar, spacers out of cut roofing lats as used to widen the straight deck, and a square piece of guttering for the pier.
The curve was made by starting one side with the block spacers then clamping the curve to it, and then fitting the other side, stud was added to stiffen it like the spokes of a wheel, than a second layer of "I" section spaced with nuts, to i hope catch any derailment, and the trunking to cap it.
As this pics show.
