Developments on the PLR

Ok thanks Rik, will give that one a try again. Have tried that a few times but always sounded to Gresly like, but perhaps with some messing on volume etc may work more to my liking.
You can tweak the tone as well

Very nice. Would you be prepared to share some of the people files? I'd be happy to trade for some resin printed versions for you - which should show better resolution.

Hi
Sorry, I don't have the files to share. They belong to Dean Punchard of DesignScanPrint who did the scanning for me. He sent me two of each figure (one for me and one for the volunteer) which I still need to paint (34 figures).

PS - My wargaming mate has painted one of the figures for me for inspiration. Mind you, I don't seem to look very happy ......:(

It's been a while since I posted anything about developments on the PLR. There have been a few. At the start of the summer I printed out quite a few items of rolling stock and it's taken me until now to assemble, detail and paint them. Still not quite finished but nearly there.

I printed out three GVT coaches and a mineral wagon in 16mm scale,......

..... before GregH pointed out that I am now working to 15mm (F) scale to give me 3' gauge on 45mm track. So, you'll see I've fitted LGB style couplings and painted the coaches in GVT green so I can sell them on later (when they're finished).

So, I re-scaled the 3D drawings and printed out four coaches in 15mm scale.

These are in PLR coach livery with PLR style hook and loop couplings.

In addition, I tweaked the Southwold Cleminson wagon drawings to give me two variants. One with a different style of strapping ....

.... and the other sporting the name MOY, the local coal merchant.

These ARE 15mm scale BTW.

I also drew and printed out a GVT brake van in 15mm scale. This featured in my last video BTW.

And, after receiving some key dimensions of their County Donegal luggage van from the curator of the transport museum in Londonderry, I was able to redraw my CDR luggage van

My previous attempt was based purely on photos and - as it was based on a HLW chassis, turned out to be far too small

Since then, I've learned how to draw my own chassis in TinkerCad.

I'm in the process of finishing off my third Southwold Cleminson coach. This will complete the rake.

I find that it's the detailing which takes more time than the actual construction......
