I have some curved track marked number 1180 on underside. It matches the curved track 1100 perfectly that I am used to. Just wondering if anyone knows about this track like year it came out and why the different number. Thanks in advance to all.

I think that might be the nickel-silver plated rails that LGB dabbled with many years ago - is the rail quite shiny and silver? It is perfectly compatible with the usual brass stuff and the plating does tend to fall of over time but should keep working OK.

This is a brass track. Inside the different ties on underside of track it is stamped with the following. - Made In Western Germany - By Lehmann - LGB -NO.11800 - R=600 - GES.GESCH. D.B.G.M. - Foreign Patents Pend. and lastly a symbol that looks like a dome with a weather vane on top and a backward 9 inside. Hope this helps, I am not good at getting pictures from my phone into the computer. Thanks

11800 is mentioned in my Greenberg's guide as: "1978, curved track section for Primus"

And what is this Primus?

Well, if from German..
'Top of class' or 'Top student'

So possibly:
First-class
Starter (first) set
Or, perhaps;
First radius

??

And what is this Primus?

"the Primus range was manufactured by LGB for the Metro Company Department Store in West Germany"

(low cost, less detailed, yellow boxes, mention of "Lehmann", but not "LGB")
