Coal Operations....

Ned and Jethro were rostered to move the weeks coal reserve from the mainline railhead. It's getting colder at Cogges and an extra delivery had been ordered. After four return journeys at the 0-4-2 tanks maximum load of three hoppers there was still left a huge heap to be moved. Ned went and dragged Dave and Peter out of the boozer in order to bring the 0-4-0 diesel into play as the light faded. Peter turned out to be already unfit for the footplate and instead installed himsef in the cosy warmth of the caboose and continued to imbibe. After all they weren't about to run out of coal. With steam and diesel working doubleheaded much more tonnage was moved and the job got done as darkness fell.

Back in the real world this is a Bachmann lilhauler modded to an 0-4-2 (Mel I fixed the chimney as per your advice!) a home built diesel 0-4-0 some hoppers crudely weathered and a bashed caboose with lighting... The cold and fading light were real!

LOL I put quite a lot of effort composing these, and did the video over in "videos" as an after thought - but everyone watched the video

The video was well enjoyed. Must say that the alterations to the chimney (height) certainly alter its appearance even further - looks great:thumbup:

the 1st and last shots are perfect.. love it:love::thumbup:
