not the best photo, but i took 20, (and they were really bad)it shows 3 pins, we need 4, or, 3 pins and a wire..... at the mo-ment, its track power&motor feed combined, ..track power, .. motor feed.... we need to convert the 1st pin, seperate it from being a combined motor/track feed, into just a track feed,
as u can see, the top single pin runs across the pick up skates and bullets, it also acts as a direct motor feed....
the next pin down...., is more to the middle, this also picks up power, BUT misses the motor, and takes its power to the electrical gubbins in the loco,
underneith it, just visable, is the return motor feed pin, that comes back from the electrical gubbins... it CLEARLY dosnt touch any track feeds...
now would be a greattime to change any iffy bullets, grease , ect.
i used my dremile while goren wasnt watching.... next, clean the motor conecting tab, we are going to soilder a wire on it, so it has to be shinny clean....
cut a small peasce off heat shrink, and slide it over our favoiuret left hand pin, so just the top 1/4s showing, then have a smoke, and use ur lighter to warm the heat shrink up.....
next, tin up, a sutable long lenght off wire, trhis is ging to become our motor feed wire(pin) also, we are going to tin up, the motor tab....... tinning is when u aplly a small amount off soilder to each part, before u jion them to gether
next up, brew, then, install the motor in the blockBE VERY , VERY CAREFULL TO MAKE SURE THE MOTOR SITS CORRECTLY IN THE BLOCK, failure to do so will result in a striped gear wheel.... the motor should lock into plasce, at the bottom off the motor, is a location pin, it sits in a grove/slot in the base off the motor block, if it wont sit down correctly(you can tell by rotating the wheels, they both shoudnt move, as the worm on the motor should be gripping them) you may need to remove more plastic were our new feed wire est/routs througfht the block....
