The locos and stock were transferred to the (as yet unbuilt) BredeOstBahn, some 12 miles to the East. And nature continued her ravages...

... and that was kind of it really. Eventually the track was lifted and the stations and trackside took on a new appearance, with neglect coming to the fore.

The Elephant never forgets.....

This story was taken from a very small sample of the hundreds of photographs taken of the Bredebahn during its' life. I hope to chronicle its' successor, the BredeOstBahn, in due course. Thanks for all the kind comments - much appreciated.
 
So looking forward to the first trains running on the new railway John, and one day visiting, I'm sure it will have at least the atmosphere of the last.:thumbup:
