Only released in circa 2005......
I hate to disagree. The Blue Christmas loco Cat 24201 was issued in 1994-5 in the 70545 set. There is a picture in Routh & Doggets guide to LGB (published 1998)
Blue cab, black chassis, silver smoke box, red wheels & metal valve gear & a Father Christmas in the cab. Unfortunately mine doesn't look like that as it was built from scrappers.

24201 is the version i'm after, thanks for link pic, I believe grotspur have some of the santa figures.

But the rest is standard parts, but black chassis, prob have to spray one as all my spares are red, being late would imagine it had a sandwitch box, rather than a split one, but will prob have to use a split as have about 6 spare complete ones.

I bought my Santa from Glendale, but it was ages ago.

Cheepest Santa I can find that might work is this http://www.millracegardencentre.co.uk/brands/lemax/lemax-figurines/lemax-christmas-village-santa-claus.html, little shorter than a lgb figure, but reasonable price

A bit small, and with his sack, not really a 'driver'..
Think I will stick with the figure form Gaugemaster.. - Want a witch as well! ??? ::) ;) ;)

I was going to put a standard driver on one side and butcher the base of the lemax figure to fit the other side, maybe pack up the base to increase height.

dont knoq if any of these help phil http://www.millracegardencentre.co.uk/brands/lemax-spooky-town/spooky-town-figurines.html

Thanks, but want the specific 'hag' for the front of a Harz loco..

santas (Medium).jpg

Santas vary in size, L to R LGB driver, Bachmann Tram driver, Lemax Santa

They are still listed on Glendale at £7.50 but not in stock. May be worth a call to see if they can still get them.

think have to go with this http://www.gaugemaster.com/item_details.asp?code=PR45501&style=main&strType=&Mcode=Preiser+45501

Strange bed-fellows!!

If you follow the link, there are 'Similar products by Preiser' suggested..
A bellowing stag. - Friend of Rudolph, perhaps?
A group of Nuns. - Well Santa = Christmas!
A group of Bavarian musicians. -See above.
And,

A German mortar crew! ??? ::)
:o

(with apologies to our European neighbours. We can not escape our past).
