LGB Container Wagon Wheel Set Control Kit

Hello All.. & a very Merry Christmas.

I have a LGB Christmas set with R1 curves. The wagons have gotten very squeaky, I have some synthetic lube oil on order & will try that.

I'm seeing LGB have "Container Wagon Wheel Set Control Kit" but they come in a Ten Pack - I only need 2 right now & possibly one or two more in the future.

I have a few questions, has anyone here used these wheel control kits for squeaking plastic wheels?

Metal wheel sets a better option to cure the plastic wheel squeak?

i am using LGB and other (cheaper) rolling stock since 1970.
mostly with plastic wheels. and using R1.
what starts squeaking, gets a small(!) drop of sewing-machine oil.

Metal wheel sets a better option to cure the plastic wheel squeak?

oh, yeah! - better and more expensive.
