Hi All, I had Friday off and I decided to do a bash with what I had in the garage. I am only learning at this kind of thing.
A year or so ago I bought one of these bachmanns for £70 but it didn't fit my railway and unless you polished the tracks it didn't run well, so it was in the "parts bin". I also wanted something battery powered for ease of running.
It is half the centre cab turned through 90 degrees and the roof dropped an inch. I used one bonnet also dropped this time by about two inches. The rest is styrene sheet. The only cost was£30 for a battery, charger and dpdt centre off. It pulls 6 bogie stock easily. The picture is still wet paint so a bit shiney. I will proably distress it a little....
But a nice little loco to watch running round for £30 and a days fun in the garage... Still have the bits for another 0-4-0 from the other end!
