Bachmann Baldwin smokebox door.

Probably a bit of a long shot, but would anyone happen to have a spare British style smokebox front assembly as fitted to the green, Southern liveried Lyn (with the British style smokebox door with a central dart rather than the US version with securing clamps all around it)? I'm sure the front from the Mk1 version of this loco would fit the new one that I have.

I've tried asking Bachmann GB if I can buy one off them, but no joy.

Try going direct to Bachmann in the US. They have parts that the UK distributors do not have. I have had success there in the past - but you must be specific in your request, if it has a parts # on the parts sheet use it.
Max.

Yes Max, tried that including part no. etc., but no joy I'm afraid. The best they could offer was a complete body shell.

If all else fails how about Garden Railway Specialists ? Take a look in the "catalogue" section of their website under "general parts". They have a couple of N/G loco smoke box doors in white metal that size and style wise might be suitable.

Once again Max you've read my mind. Are you sure you can't read my "recent history"? :rolf::rolf:

I certainly hope not. :nail::nail::laugh::laugh::laugh:
