I have been asked to find out how one goes about automatically conrolling two locos, so that one stops in a loop, the points change, and the other loco moves off. Once the loco had traversed the circuit and comes back to the passing loop, it would stop, and the first loco would move off again.

The system is analogue at present but may become digital in due course.
Can anyone help with what equipment may be required ? I was told that LGB used to do something like this.
