Anybody else having editor problems today?

I don't usually have trouble with with the post editor. Today is something else! Can't edit my posts, getting duplicate posts, etc. Is it me or the system? Problems with both Safari 14.0 and Chrome on a macbook pro MacOS 10.16.7.

I'm on W10Prof and, although I have not got any problems today, yesterday was terrible looking at posts on the Forum (overlapping text over text, not loading pics on the postings, etc. I don't know why poster's pics don't show - or only part of those posted - I can see if I click on the pic details and it opens up another window. Don't get emogies to click on or, when replying to a post, it doesn't show up as a quote (I have to copy and paste the original poster's question in my reply.

Same here, no doubt someone will have a look at it when time permits, it's not a major inconvenience is it?

Yeah, while you guys were asleep, I noticed that the site was down for upgrade around 2am Pommy time. When I got back in later, I couldn't upload photos the usual way, but will accept them as attachment, if you drag the icon of you pic into the text box. Edit function is not working..... so engage brain before typing. I'll try to load a shot of a photo I've just scanned from a print of mine. A couple of Australian National Budd RDC cars. https://www.gscalecentral.net/attac....274309/?hash=1f6200cb726896346310388568d3504 O.K., it's the Insert function that's crook.

Well now, I've just tried to start a new thread in Track....... that's not working. Anyhow, here's the photo (I hope) that I was to post. https://www.gscalecentral.net/attac...274311/?hash=9b1403477fdd16534d32daaa5faca4b0 A full triple gauge turnout. That's 3 gauges in, and 3 gauges out both ways. There are some turnouts that have different combinations on the out lines. This was taken from a moving Indian Pacific train, and is a scan from a print of mine. 1990 was the year. I think the 3'6" was just redundant then, those wagons are narrow gauge. Gladstone South Australia. Now before you challange anyone to model this, I already have, in S scale, and wired for 2 rail operation too.

I can't use the reply button at the end of a posting, and everything is repeated. No idea what system I'm on though.

Cannot post full size images, no tool bar present in posting box so cannot add links. Edit button not working in Media post. David

Ah, the pitfalls of not being able to edit..... that turnout I posted, was not full triple gauge, but triple in, and 2 and 3 gauges out. It wasn't until I blew the photo up that I realised my error, which I could not correct.

Just testing. Paul

To Paul (The site admin),

Sorry about the curmudgeonly complaints! Some of us old farts are impatient with "improvements." I'm sure that I'm not alone appreciating all your efforts.:clap::clap::clap::clap:

No complaints about how it works.
I would like to know how to eliminate that chat thingy bar at the bottom of the window please.

For a moment when I accessed this Forum I thought it was hacked or I had been sent elsewhere! Then I remember that it was due to be changed.
I was able to Log-In without issue and I do prefer the appearance: nice and clean looking and more to the point very easy to read. Well, that how it appears here anyway. :)
I suspect bugs/glitches etc. have been mostly addressed now but as I access few places here maybe I haven't encountered them yet.
The chat banner is something different being quite obvious, but I guess I can live with it. I just checked in but everyone has gone to bed it seems.

I clicked on the square next to the chatterer, and it opened up some settings options, eventually. There is one to tick to log off chat.

The new set up is great, but the ads are all international, Japanese and German language at the moment!

Took me ages to find the settings!

I did that Gavin.
Sure enough I was logged out of the chat.
The banner strip is still at the bottom with no apparent way of getting rid of it.
