Zimo mx695kv and LGB mts system

I have an interesting problem, I'm new to DCC and this Aristo class 66 is only my third conversion.
The Class66 sounds are awesome got the decoder from Digitrains but they don't know anything about LGB- MTS
Installed it dropped to 14 speed steps and the sounds-engine/horns running etc were fine, I then realised that I had inadvertently put the 55016 into serial mode - so put it back to parallel, button 1 started the engine and buttons 2,3,4,=horns etc did not work at all? the decoder obviously works on both but the function buttons have a problem.
Any one with Zimo sound experience --- HELP

Have you put it to LGB mode by programming the cv to get 14 speed steps then? If you've got a parallel system I didn't think you needed to do that so possibly that's the problem. I had to do that with mine as it was serial only.

Yes the zimo was defaulted to 28/128 so had to set CV29 to 14 speed steps to get things working correctly, I asked the boys at Digitrains to look at the decoder and they said it worked fine on their zimo controller so it must be a problem with the lgb controller sending different signals ( maybe some cv's in the 300/500 range for sound ) - the LGB 55016 works fine in parallel with Massoth and LGB decoders.

Got this reply from ZIMO 30 Mins after sending request for help.
Dear Mr. David Appleby,

Quite simple: The decoder is in LGB puls chain mode! (The mode has been activated by Digitrains through CV#8=9)!

But your central station seem to send the functions 2-8 in "normal" DCC, but the decoder expect the puls chain for 2-8.
Light (function 1) is always working, whether puls chain mode is active or not.

Set CV#112, bit 4 to 0 to de-activate the puls chain mode.
Set CV#112, bit 4 to 1 to activate the puls chain mode.
Please note that bit4 is in real bit "number 5" (the technican counts bit0, bit1, bit2, ... NOT bit1, bit2, ...)-

Got to say this decoder is really good it has 3 servo outputs and smoke fans and the service is tops
