Well I only have the 'clean machine' version..
This uses 6 x 'AAA' batteries, so is a little slow, and I guess would have a limited run-time if you put much behind it?
IF it stays dry.. AND IF I cut the grass (can't see the track at the moment) I will see what it will pull..
NOTE: My track is (literally) thrown-down on the grass.. Gradients are severe in places, and the track is far from level!

I took the abrasive pads off, and it will run round my dodgy oval.
It did better with the load than the D10, but to be fair, I have taken the weight out of the D10.
Both slip, but the little Piko does better, as it has more weight. - And traction tyres.
The block weighs-in at over 2.3Kg - As high as the kitchen scales will go
As you can see, this is a pretty vicious gradient, the track is filthy, and cross-levels are silly as well!
600mm level, so 1:24, worse in places, but I tend to run with the worse gradient running downhill.

Well, I did manage to run a light engine this afternoon while dozing in the sunThat's the key, run a train - which i haven't managed since Easter

Mallet 250 running double tender on a log train. The second tender is from mallet 251 which is in the shops having been remotored and then the chip went bang, currently awaiting new xls from Mark. My other problem is that I do like 250 with two tenders so I am now on the lookout for two tenders, mission impossible methinks!

Had a pottering day today, wife's out so time for beer and a train. Great idea except it has started raining!! Still got me beer though. Had a problem with lgb drovers caboose catching the buckeyes ona Piko crossing so that has been remedied with a hacksaw, brass wire pins and a blob, or two, of glue. Post sawn off near the post base and the post reattached to the base one post width further away from the track.

Mallet 251 is now on roster again with a new xls chip freshly fitted. A strange thing is that the sound is different to the older chip in mallet 250, mmmmmm. The wires in the connectors are track feed and motor wires, having been tested on dc, the other loose wires are speaker and volume control.

A train of gons on the never ending inner loop drawn by mogul 491. Bought this years ago from Bill of Carnforth Models after he had put a Phoenix sound system into it, he sadly passed away about?? 7 years ago. He would always do a deal but you would never come out on top, at the time you would think you had!

The Aristo tender has now had the Great Northern decals and running number removed, metal wheels and weight added and topped off with a dog house. Just need to buy a rattle can to spray over the blemishes.
Whilst this is pictured with mallet 251 it is going to be partnered with mallet 250 (currently stripped down awaiting chip) and 251 will be pulling 2 tenders in operation.
I use Never Dull to remove decals with a bit of elbow grease.

Bit further south Rhino, Rio Grande. Speaking of which anybody know a good supplier of decals for said road?
Why have you put a Sedan-Chair on top of that tender?
