I bought this on eBay, not realizing that it was for the digital version of the V 51 Loco. I

have a 2095 OBB diesel and a 2051 DB diesel. These are standard analog boards. Is there a way I can simply add power to this board and get sound ?

The board is designed for the MTS/MFX? Board.

I don’t want to destroy this board with experimentation. I would love to be able to use it , off of DC track power, as I really like the sound features, but I may simply have bought something that won’t work Thoughts comments, and direction greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I fitted a 65001 to a V52 diesel, and used it on DC, before I upgraded to DCC (MTS).

The sound worked when the power control was turned on.

I found with practise, I could turn the control to just above zero, stopping the loco but maintaining the sounds.

I was using the ART Train Engineer in those days, fed from a LGB transformer, then later a ART PSU....

Well, I appreciate the advice, but im asking about the 65006, different unit. Designed to fit on a digital board.

I appreciate your point, but it still might work on analogue DC.

My 65001 had to be programmed with the same address as my V52 loco so that both worked together on my MTS and later Massoth 1200Z.

I would have assumed that Maerklin would have made it work, both for DC and DCC, but you might have to check the documentation for the 65006 to be certain....
