WEATHER OR NOT

I know when i sold alot of HO stock some years back the trader gave me less for them as they were weathered .

Actually this and the track cleaning loco look okay to me, but then I would spray them anyway
Strange that he didn't do the wagons. :nerd:
And trolls & pepperpots, eclectic or wot?

The trouble is that weathering is subjective - its very much a personal view of how much a weathering job enhances a model. As such, most weathering will usually devalue a model. Mind you, so will taking it out of the box, putting it on the track, and running it. Having said that, I still have my first Stainz loco and as I bought it 34 years ago I don't think it owes me anything, weathered or otherwise.

hi richie so u mean u sell yr ho stocks to the traders?...what is his names? company? www? if i ask u permissions..thks

As soon as you paint them, you've devalued them, heck some will say as soon as you take them out of the box you've lost money, thats why whenever you see someone who's bought a stack of LGB for "Investment Reasons" they will be mint in the box, you can oggle them thru the plastic window

I consider trains a consumable product, meaning I'll likely never get back what I paid for them so what the hell, paint'em up and have some fun with them.
