Very nicely done railway

This video came up on Youtube tonight. The railway is pretty fantastic in my view. I usually don't watch anything this long, but not only did the film hold my attention, the music choices made viewing enjoyable.

Well at least we know what the last German Euromillionaire spent all his money on! That is a really nice railway there, alot of time and work that has paid off.

Stunning. It's so well integrated with the natural scenery that it is a shock in the shunting sequence to see the LGB couplings.

Must be the best and most realistic garden railway Ive ever seen. Love the German half timber buildings in the village, brilliant, just brilliant.:thumbup:

Nice line - great weathering on stock - not so sure about overspray on track! Thanks for the link.

Very nice railway !

Agree, the track weathering does look unrealistic

The railway looks pretty good.

As to the vid - same complaint about the PECO DVDs. Why aren't we allowed to see the train go by? why does the camera so often follow the loco, then edit to another shot?

Boring I'm afraid - I want to watch trains, not different angles of a few locos. :impatient:

Briilliant layout.
Looks like Mels been weathering in Germany as well

Thank you for posting the photos. By the way, would you know if it is a private railway or a commercial endevour?

Interesting to watch on mute. The drone of those sound cards needs to be turned down in the mix, I'm up early for work  so wearing headphones, I thought I was watching a video on extreme SDS hole drilling.... Turn the sound effects DOWN

It is a private railway, and since the owner has made all the houses and bridges himself it isn't as expensive as it looks either.
That's what I managed to piece together from the various Buntbahn postings.
If you look trough the thread I posted you will find many of the houses in the pictures and video.

i watched, almost, the entire thing
very impressive and great track work (regardless of weathering or ballast imho) , nicely weathered rolling stock too-im always amazed how transformative this is to LGB -

i found some of the shots particularly realistic-like the 2-10-2 coming out of the tunnel

i also found i really liked the diesels-liked the subtle sound

in looking at it, it seems to be , more or less a figure eight-but its amazing what expansiveness and some nicely done sidings do for overall feel of operations-some of the shots really looked very real to me

his town, seemingly once fortified, is great
i noticed too that there were 'familiar' kits, but modified a bit just to fit or look a bit non-stock

i presume some of items were piko z(the three axel coaches in green) and marklin (the red side rod shunter) ?

I think the red shunter is Piko as well, also there's a lot of LGB and the grey tankers are resprayed NQD, very well done.
Once I saw them I went and resprayed mine with primer also.
