.......... then I looked at the rusty Otto and thought it might look OK peeking out of the shed, so this is what (I think) it'll end up looking like.

And it's all wired up and working again now .

Markus, weekends are usually OK .

Paul, re getting Otto running ......... no wheels, chassis, motor ........... it may be a while . Having said that, there's been no alterations to the body - if a chassis were to come along - it wouldn't take long .

I reckon if the railbus can get through, should be OK. But there's only one way to find out .

With the new wall painted and fixed in place, I was able to ballast the track through the narrows. The patch of grass not only looks pretty, it will (hopefully) keep the ballast in place if the fire station needs to be lifted out for lighting etc.

Brilliant Mel, absolute magic. However hard I try I can't find anything at all to complain about, it's spot on

Not convinced by the shed though- it's obviously a rail served shed (that way round) but there's no way you could get a track to it, so it looks a bit odd to me.

If it's any consolation, I think it looked really good with the shed backwards, and the windows "bricked up"- looked sort of slightly run down PW yard without looking like it's trying to hard, tricky to explain, and is probably just the Guinness talking

Pauly Mar 17 2009, 11:24 PM

why not get some plastic brick overlays (jacksons minitures sell some sheets) cut it to the shape of the portal, cut a little door out of it (so workers can get in/out) and youll have a workshop/storeage shed

jacksons minitures sell little doors as well

yb281 Mar 18 2009, 09:46 AM

Hmmmmm .

The grounded coach was looking a bit too posh, so I re-painted it last night complete with some of the windows blocked out, some with improvised curtains etc.
