And out in the country.

The birthday boy's V52 runs past the "might come in handy one day" pile at Wetton yard with a ballast train.

MOD train stops the traffic.

Something tells me the station cat model turned out to be SLIGHTLY over scale .

yb281 Mar 15 2009, 08:55 PM

Running continued even after dark.

Yes indeedy looked like a loverly selection, love how the town and the narrows has come together.

The town bit looks really good, much like Welshpool. The drivers of the landrover and mini must be getting a bit fed up though, they seem to have been waiting there for ages!

That'll do for me James . If it reminds a Welshpool boy of Welshpool, that's what I was always aiming for . The Landy and Mini have got away now, but the bus driver ain't very happy today .

Anyhoo, today has been a "dogs and walls" day. I got these tiny white metal dogs from Back2Bay6 months ago and have just got around to painting them. First is my sister in law's spaniel, Maisey .

That grass needs cutting .............. MIKE!!

yb281 Mar 16 2009, 04:50 PM

And even smaller .......... a little Yorkie. Poppy perhaps, eh Keith?

yb281 Mar 16 2009, 04:51 PM

I think I made a better job of painting these cats, but there are still some scale issues .

Spike and Frankie.

I wasn't really happy with this wall at the rear of the factory. It wasn't really high enough. I wanted the narrows to appear ........... errrr .............. narrower .

I also needed to make room for the new signal on the railway side of the wall ..............

yb281 Mar 16 2009, 04:57 PM

................ so I made a new wall, much taller. Just a couple of pieces of wood with stonework dremelled on and soaked in preservative. Might get a coat of grey paint later too.
