Thanks Alan .

Yes George, Corris Cottage was an absolute breeze to make, although I did make a couple of slight changes to it. I really like Modeltown's stuff.

That last shot turned out so well, I decided to have another go with a train in it.

Very nice Mel!

You'll need to get a Flagman to move into Corris Cottage though, so he can protect that ungated level crossing.

The Flagman as sold with the LGB Stainz Passenger Set would be ideal...

Steve, these are standard LGB platform inserts. The Dragon man did have some in Chuff's special offers, not sure if they're still there?

Anyhoo, length of all pieces is 300mm, width of the rail infill is 37mm, width of the outer piece is 57mm.

Cheers Z mate. I've tried some of them before, but they don't stand up very well to being outside unfortunately. Might try some in dry weather only .

Knew you'd like that one Paul .

Mel,

For me, one word sums up this batch of photos - Atmospheric. A definite feeling of leaning over the lineside fence, camera in hand....

Cracking stuff!

While this little train was running around, I got on with a little job that I've been meaning to do for a while. I bought this IP van off the Biffmeister after it had been condemmed by the Sodor Line . Last year it got damaged during the apple blitz, so I fixed the roof and wanted to fit a tarpaulin to keep it weather proof.

The tarpaulin is made with the iron-on stuff that is normally used to skin model aircraft and was kindly sent to me by JohnStJim. This was painted matt black.

I originally thought of putting the grounded van body in Gooey Yard this way around.............
